A: Acknowledging your pain is the first step towards recovery, and Idaho Family PT is here to help you on this journey. To get started with physical therapy, follow these steps:
1. Schedule an Appointment: Contact us via phone or our website to schedule an initial evaluation. This allows us to understand your condition and develop a personalized treatment plan.
2. Referral (if necessary): Depending on your insurance policy, you may need a referral from your primary care physician. Check with your insurance provider to confirm any requirements. Idaho is what we call a "Direct Access State" meaning as a rule you do not need a referral to see a Therapist, however some insurances as part of their plan require one. If you are unsure you can always call us and we can help!
3. Initial Assessment: During your first visit, a licensed physical therapist will conduct a comprehensive assessment, which includes discussing your medical history, pain levels, and any functional limitations you may have.
4. Customized Treatment Plan: Based on the assessment, we will create a tailored treatment plan aimed at addressing your specific needs, alleviating pain, and improving your mobility and function.
5. Start Therapy Sessions: Begin your journey to recovery through regular therapy sessions. These sessions will involve various therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other modalities designed to reduce pain and enhance your physical capabilities.
6. Ongoing Evaluation: Throughout your treatment, your progress will be monitored closely, and adjustments to the treatment plan will be made as necessary to ensure the best possible outcome. At Idaho Family PT, our goal is to provide compassionate and effective care to help you live a pain-free, active life. Don't wait to seek relief—schedule your appointment today and take the first step towards recovery.
